In 2022, Owen Gray and Jayme Linker joined forces to create team Aloha Kai to row across the mid-Pacific Ocean in June of 2023.

Aloha Kai means Love of the Sea in Hawaiian.  Owen and Jayme both share a love of the Ocean.  After completing the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge in early 2022, they each were seeking out their next adventures and came together to create Aloha Kai and participate in the inaugural Pacific Challenge.  In the 2021 Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge, Owen completed the row as a solo rower (Owensrowing) and Jayme completed the row on a pairs team (Tropical Blue Wave).  Jayme and Owen are hoping to become the first USA born mixed pairs team to complete the Mid-Pacific row.

Aloha Kai will launch out of Monterey, California in June 2023 and row to Kauai, Hawaii!  It is sure to be an exciting adventure.  We hope you will follow our journey and support us and our charity partners, Okizu and Eating Disorder Awareness, as we embark on our second ocean crossing.
